Alphabet Puzzle

March 6, 2013

I’m on the lookout for alphabet-learning tools and after I found this puzzle made of maple wood on Etsy I immediately ordered one – with a little bit of a twist though. First I wanted an alphabet in our mother tongue, Slovenian and I also wanted the doodles engraved under each letter to represent the sound that the letter makes.
I drew the doodles and have sent them to Sarah, the designer and she did all the rest.

I really love how it turned out and Tila loves to play with it – it’s helping her learn the letters so much and without her even realizing it. All she does is play. And I silently clap in the background!

The price of a puzzle is $29 (ca. €22) and shipping to EU comes about €15. For moderations like images under each letter will cost you a little bit extra – you can contact Sarah on for more information

Great! How long does it take to get it personalized like yours?

Not long at all – after you send her the drawings (or you can use mines if you’d like) it takes her maybe a week to finish the puzzle. And the package came in a matter of days after she sent it.

Thank you for the sweet write-up. I love how your photos came out and I’m so glad she is having fun playing with it. I may end up with an English Doodle version sometime soon- it was so much fun to make!
